The Road Toward Nonprofit Status

At our March meeting, we welcomed Eric Talley, Master Craftsman The New Hanover County Beekeepers Association is exploring the possibility of becoming a 501(c)(3) nonprofit—an exciting step that would open the door for expanded outreach, education, and community impact. This effort is being led by our new president, William Bost, with strong support from our treasurer, Dwayne Furmidge. As we consider this transition, we’re looking to build interest and involvement from our members, since participation will be key to making this vision a reality.
