Honey Harvest 2024
The NHCBA held our annual honey harvest on Saturday June 26. The City of Wilmington hosted this event at Halyburton Park-home of the Tom Rhyne Apiary. The NHCBA is has maintained 2 hives at Halyburton Park, coming up on 2 years. The honey harvest is a very popular event and fills up quickly with a waitlist. Our members volunteer to share beekeeping information with the community. The participants are even able to experience honeybees up close and personal with an observation hive-thanks to member Johnny Dickerson! The community is able to see and experience the honey extraction process and take home some delicious free honey! Yummy!
Thank you to the staff at Halyburton Park and our amazing volunteers!
