2025 Honey Harvest
The NHCBA beehives at Halyburton Park have been busy bees this year! The bees produced enough honey for us to host not 1, but 2 Honey Harvests this year at Halyburton Park! The NHCBA in cooperation with the staff at Halyburton and the City of Wilmington organized this very popular event. The first honey harvest was on July 19 and the 2nd on September 13.
The guests who attended learned about the importance of the honeybee to our ecosystem and were able to take home the sweet rewards of the bees’ hard work! Our volunteers are passionate about honeybees and hope to inform the public about their importance in our world. Bees were on display in our observation hive-even spotting the all important Queen bee. A big thank you to our volunteers who made this event possible!
