Photo Album 1 - removing a swarm

  • David Bridgers & I removing a swarm from a boat at a Carolina Beach marina.
  • This picture shows how docile the bees in a swarm are because David is almost holding the swarm with his bare hand.
  • David is spraying honey water on the bees to keep them calm.
  • David is literally brushing the bees off the boat into a bucket to put on the empty hive body. Note he is bare handed! No gloves!
  • Once you get the queen in the empty hive body, all the bees will follow her into it.
